Pictures of Life

It’s been a long time, but last couple of months have been more active and dedicated to the he.art.I continue to work on bigger canvas and literally spend months on one each time, ( smaller ones on the side to keep me busy ). It is a special experience to have a giant painting spending the year or so with me, we meet salute everyday, sometime we don’t talk for week but we always rejoice at some point, it makes its inner story way deeper.

Not forgetting all the other places in the world going through their trials and dramas, being in France has been very difficult during this 2026′ summer. Heatwaves have come in numbers so we can’t even count them. I won’t lose energy sharing my exasperation towards my co-citizens, since the needed change may never happen in time. All i can do is to continue to act with consciousness towards Life and be the best i can ( organic food, no meat, no planes or cars, the less waste possible, etc … for decades ) and hoping that more of us find meaning and peace doing it, not to save money or gain attention, but just because this is the only natural way to Be.

I first noticed this summer was not normal earlyon , when i saw this butterfly at my home for the very first time of my life. Learning about it, it is a species that normally lives hundreds of miles south and appreciates real warmth. That being said, he was absolutely beautiful, little dragon, i already miss you.

But this summer has also been amazing for this … Dragonflies. I was totally mesmerized by them. My parents having a tiny pond with a couple of plants, for the first time of my life, i was able to witness their birth. Dozens of them, from stage one to finish. Trying to save some falling ( be humbled by the harsh reality when it happens, ants rushing to attack the fragile new born ). These were hours i’ll remember forever.

This is my dad with a baby squirrel on his shoulder. This one was a little hard to swallow. For months without really seeing them, he share nuts with them near the tallest trees. Everyday, the absence of the nuts showed their presence. And last july a baby showed up, my dad who rarely share his emotions, was so touched ( who wouldn’t ) and was looking for him everyday. The baby started to be more and more friendly and they became friends. But i instantly thought it was not normal at all. Indeed, with the hell of a summer we’re going through, the reality was darker. In fact its parents abandoned him and even if we did our best, it was not enough and he died ( as well as its two siblings we later discovered ). Only a couple of weeks later, the adult reappeared. It was pretty clear the extreme weather made it unable to assume new borns. One more reason my silent anger towards other irresponsible humans is getting louder.

I was able to go to the ocean for a couple of days. My first holidays since 2011. I thought it’d finally be the time i’d learn swimming but my fear of water was still stronger than my will. Anyways, it was good to get some other landscapes and feel rocks and sand under the feet. It’s never easy for me to “move ” since i’m pretty autistic with my habits and i could just be in my studio creating art each day of my life. But i’ve made it and it also was a good opportunity to read a light book in ” Le Papillon des étoiles ” of Werber, during this week off.
