40/40 cm x 2 diptych – acrylic, gouache on canvas (2023)
The title means ” The earth of spirits “. When i look at this diptych, i have the impression of looking at a slice of soil. Like when we were children, some of us had an anthill in a transparent box to observe and learn from them. Here it’s like the former lives / spirits were here, infusing into the soil and we were able to look at them melting into “one” to enrich the future incarnations.
Le titre signifie « La terre des esprits ». Quand je regarde ce diptyque, j’ai l’impression de regarder une tranche de terre. Comme quand nous étions enfants, certains d’entre nous avaient une fourmilière dans une boîte transparente pour les observer les fourmis et apprendre d’elles. Ici, c’est comme si les anciennes vies/esprits étaient là, s’infusant dans le sol et nous étions d’apprécier leur processus, les regarder devenir “un” pour enrichir les futures incarnations.
