The Success Lies In The Process *
The title of the painting refers to the word “synod” but not in a religious way. It echoes the ancient greek “sun-odos”, meaning “travelling together” and/or an “assembly”. There’re always been many entities in my work, but they look more and more concentrated & concerned. Maybe it reflects what i can infuse from the outside world, its urgency and collapse. But above all, its need for concertation and mutual self-awareness.
Le titre du tableau fait référence au mot “synode” mais pas de manière religieuse. Il fait écho au grec ancien “sun-odos”, signifiant “voyager ensemble” et/ou une “assemblée”. Il y a toujours eu beaucoup d’entités dans mon travail, mais elles ont l’air de plus en plus concentrées et concernées. Peut-être que cela reflète ce que je peux infuser du monde extérieur, dans son urgence et son effondrement. Mais surtout, son besoin de concertation et de prise de conscience mutuelle.
