When this painting was over, observing it, the fist couple of things i could notice were … this kind of lamb on the top left and it made me think of a religious interpretation of the purity of the Soul, it seems to elevate and emanate from a star in fusion, from the source to the source, it was the aspiration of the painting.
Then red lizard on the bottom left was evocative of the primary beliefs from america latina as well as the geologic history, it seats on a root, our roots.
There is a big grey cobra in the middle-right facing the spectator as a symbolic door to test people’s wisdom. On its right there’s a falcon besided a sort of a white bird like walkie-talkie and next to it a sort of blonde woman, to me it symbolize the connection between our human nature and the Nature itself, the intertwined spirits of the elements.
Then the title came right to me, Aletheia, also know as the goddess of truth was this woman in the painting. But this word also has a deep meaning, composed of “lethe” the river of forgetfulness and the “a” added before it, means it things won’t be (forgotten).
Quand ce tableau a été terminé, en l’observant, les premières choses que j’ai pu remarquer étaient … ce genre d’agneau en haut à gauche et cela m’a fait penser à une interprétation religieuse de la pureté de l’âme, il semble s’élever et émaner d’un astre en fusion, de source en source, c’était donc l’aspiration de la peinture. Puis le lézard rouge en bas à gauche évoquait les croyances primitives d’Amérique latine ainsi que notre histoire géologique originelle, il repose sur une racine, nos racines. Ensuite il y a un grand cobra gris au milieu droit, face au spectateur comme une porte symbolique pour tester la sagesse des gens. A sa droite il y a un faucon à côté d’une sorte d’oiseau blanc ressemblant à un talkie-walkie et à côté encore, une femme blonde, pour moi cela symbolise le lien entre notre nature humaine et la Nature elle-même, les esprits entrelacés des éléments. Puis le titre m’est venu, Aletheia … également connue comme le nom de la déesse de la vérité, c’était cette femme dans le tableau. Mais ce mot a aussi un sens profond, composé de “lethe” le fleuve de l’oubli et du “a” (privatif) ajouté devant, signifiant que les choses ne seraient en fait pas oubliées.
